While it is true that not every PS3 owner buys blu-ray movies, enough do to have quite an impact. It isn't pure luck that HD DVD lost the software sales lead shortly after the PS3 launched.

Blu-ray destroys it in quality. Blu-ray movies look better and sound better on average. HD DVD simply doesn't have the bandwidth to compete.
The solution is simply.
Don't care about PQ or SQ buy DVD
want a little better with HD lite buy HD DVD
want the best buy blu-ray
Traditional film at 24 frames per second simply will not do. It has to be shot on 12 frame per second cameras or altered by computers later.
You know how much better every single 360 game would be on the PS3 or even Wii.

Sony has been curb stomping them ever since the PS3 launched.
The only thing this does is try to put the Piece of Shtt Toshiba players in a better light by releasing even crappier players. I know most thought that having players lock up all the time (generation 1 through 3 Toshiba's I'm looking at you), scratch discs, etc would be as bad as it gets. Nope, trust me buy this Venturer player and you will feel like the Toshiba is actually worth $5.
I'm sure Blizzard lost a lot of motivation after being screwed by MS behind the scene and in front as well when MS forced them to release PGR3 at launch despite not being ready.
It really shows on the bike as to how they put out an unfinished product. Just watch when a person crashes on the bike and doesn't fall off 90% of the time when he should.
